BioGenerator

Features

The BioGenerator simulator offers an integrated interface to configure, run, and analyze demographic simulations.

Analysis charts

v1.00 (24/02/2026)

From the top bar you can open the charts view: population, births, deaths, and accumulated deaths by year. The graphs use the data from the selected save or current state, with downsampling for better performance.

Main features

v1.00 (February 2026)

Statistics on the map

  • Total population by year
  • Annual births
  • Annual and accumulated deaths
  • Total iterations (simulated years)
  • Intuitive icons for data visualization

Configuration panels

Panel 0 — Periods

Configuration of up to 3 distinct periods for simulating historical, environmental, or social scenarios.

Panel 1 — Residual mortality

Annual mortality (disease, accidents, famine) with progressive rates and geometric progression modeling.

Panel 2 — Reproduction

Minimum, maximum and peak fertility age with exponential decline after peak.

Panel 3 — Displacement

Mean annual movement in kilometers with controlled variability and biological positioning of offspring.

Panel 4 — Fecundity

Number of offspring per Poisson distribution and variation by female age.

Panel 5 — Age-related mortality

Modeled by the Gompertz function, with initial frailty and aging rate adjustment.

Panel 6 — Continental factor

Mortality adjustment by region (factor 0–2) to simulate local environmental effects.

Management and education

  • Define and schedule new population origins on the map.
  • Save, load and search your configurations.
  • Compare scenarios in long-term simulations.
  • Analyze charts and easy-to-read reports.
